OMG, It’s Date Night!
It’s date night! I’m just thrilled to get out of the house with my wonderful husband, Christopher! Since Jaxson was born, we’ve been out maybe…twice? And I think one of the two times I’m thinking of probably included our children. With Jaxson’s many doctor’s appointments (it was a really tough first year!) we rarely had the finances to get out of the house. We had to get creative and find ways to have fun at the house together (no complaints about that!). I’m really looking forward to just the hubs and I having fun together, though!

Our First Date…
Our first date was an early dinner (Chinese takeout) and a movie at his house. I wore a white shirt, with a floral cardigan, and jeans. I can’t remember what Chris wore, but I remember how handsome he looked and how much fun I had with him! He refrained from kissing me after our date though – I never let him forget it! We had just finished watching a funny movie (to which I did not laugh even once at) and he walked me out to my car, thinking I was a dud and probably no fun at all! I was so incredibly nervous though, because I knew I really liked him.
We’ve been married for four years now, and together for six. We have two beautiful children together and he is still one of the only people in the world that can really crack me up. It’s really hard to make me laugh – something has to be INSANELY funny for me to even chuckle. And he still makes me laugh so hard I think I’ll pee myself.
For our date night this week, I really wanted to channel our first date with some florals! My earrings were in the shape of flowers, and I wore one of my new shirts from Pink Blush! I have a few maternity shirts from Pink Blush that I actually still wear – I had no idea Pink Blush wasn’t exclusively maternity clothing until recently. I found their Crushed Velvet Floral Cutout Top, and fell in love! I felt so confident and comfortable with this top.
I always need a little help getting ready from my littlest one…I just love his facial expressions!
And, of course, I have to change my hair, Jaxson’s outfit, and read a story before I leave the house! I try to spend a little time with the boys anytime we leave. Jaxson is starting to get really upset every time I’m not around, but as soon as I’m finally gone and he is distracted – he has plenty of fun. His favorite spot right now is in our bay window, so that’s where we read together!
Date Night SUCCESS!
We ended up having a blast, going to the movies together and laughing so hard! I felt really confident, and beautiful in my Pink Blush shirt. It was perfect for our date night! The boys had a lot of fun with my in-laws, and we got some much needed one-on-one time.
